The Coaching Authority was born from a simple observation:

“Most organizations don’t fail because people don’t care.
They fail because
leaders aren’t taught how to lead.”

How Pat’s Coaching Philosophy Was Forged

After more than 23 years leading large-scale operations and transformation projects for companies like American Airlines and Citigroup, Pat Frazier saw the same patterns emerging across a variety of industries: talented people trapped in broken systems, unclear expectations, inconsistent execution, and leadership teams stretched thin by daily emergencies.

Pat knew there was a better way.

In 2005, that conviction led Pat to establish The Coaching Authority, where he has since trained with — and been certified by — some of the most respected coaching bodies in the country. His approach blends the rigor of Gazelles and LEAN, the depth of Trusted Advisors and Gravitas, and the practical, results-driven systems taught by the Total Quality Institute and Resource Associates.

This broad foundation gives Pat something rare in the coaching world: the ability to draw from multiple disciplines while keeping leaders focused on what actually moves a business forward — clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution. His approach is direct, focused, and deeply practical.

Leadership isn’t about charisma. It’s about clarity, accountability, and consistent action.

Today, Pat has coached over 1,000 leaders and more than 100 companies, helping organizations strengthen their teams, scale confidently, and build leadership pipelines that last. And he continues to operate from a core set of values:

  • There’s always a better way—find it.

  • Simplicity is power.

  • Work is sacred—treat it with honor.

  • The right process leads to the right result.

This isn’t theoretical coaching.

It’s leadership you can use on Monday morning. And it’s why clients across automotive retail, healthcare, logistics, software, and professional services trust Pat to help them build teams and systems that win.

Pat’s Approach in His Own Words

How It Works

A proven system for aligning leaders with their teams and driving predictable results.

1. Executive Coaching: Developing the Leader First

Pat begins by working one-on-one with the CEO or senior executive. These sessions uncover how the leader thinks, where the organization is strong, and where capability, confidence, or clarity are missing. Through this process, Pat helps leaders articulate vision, align values, and set the strategic direction that will anchor the entire engagement.

2. Strategic Thinking & Execution Planning

Once the senior leader is aligned, Pat works with the executive team in structured monthly sessions — typically two to four hours each. These meetings sharpen strategic thinking, clarify priorities, install execution rhythms, and ensure everyone is aligned to the same targets, metrics, and habits.

This is where organizations start to shift from “busy” to focused, from “reactive” to disciplined, and from “confused” to clear on what winning looks like.

3. Emerging Leader Development

With senior leadership aligned, Pat expands the work to the organization’s rising leaders — those with potential for greater responsibility and long-term value.

These sessions build the mindset, behaviors, and practical skills required for a healthy leadership pipeline. Companies that invest here stop firefighting, reduce turnover, and create scalable growth because more people know how to think, act, and lead.

These answers will help you understand how Pat works and what makes his coaching different.

  • Growth accelerates when leaders make better decisions, communicate clearly, and hold their teams to consistent expectations. Pat works with leaders to align priorities, strengthen their operating systems, and improve execution across the organization. His clients see improved margins, customer loyalty, team stability, and scalable processes — because leadership becomes the engine of predictable performance.

  • Small businesses feel the effects of poor leadership immediately — misalignment, stalled execution, and preventable turnover. Pat helps leaders develop the clarity, discipline, and decision-making required to stabilize teams and fuel growth. His work strengthens culture, sharpens priorities, and creates the consistency small businesses need to perform at a high level.

  • Pat isn’t an influencer; he’s a strategist. Where popular voices offer broad principles or mass-market content, Pat provides tailored, analytical, results-focused leadership development grounded in decades of cross-industry experience. He’s known for sharp insight, disciplined execution, and the ability to help leaders think and operate at a higher level — not for delivering generic inspiration.

  • Expect structure, accountability, and meaningful behavior change. Pat focuses on sharpening communication, improving decision quality, installing operating rhythms, and aligning leaders around clear priorities. The work is highly interactive and tailored to your business, ensuring training turns into execution rather than motivational noise.

  • Most fail because they stay theoretical and never make it into the day-to-day systems of the business. Pat eliminates this gap by helping leaders apply concepts immediately — strengthening habits, reinforcing expectations, and improving execution week by week. Leadership development sticks when it’s integrated into real decisions, real teams, and real operating cycles, not when it’s delivered as abstract content.

  • Entrepreneurs need training built for speed, ambiguity, and resource constraints — not corporate-style frameworks or canned leadership modules. Pat focuses on clarity, execution, and practical tools that improve performance fast. His approach is designed for leaders who wear multiple hats and need systems that scale without adding unnecessary complexity. If a program doesn’t strengthen decision-making and improve team alignment within weeks, it’s not built for entrepreneurs.

  • Start with clarity: What should leaders do differently to move the business forward? Pat builds plans tied directly to strategy and brings them to life through reinforced habits, coaching conversations, and leadership rhythms. The result is a development process that’s practical, measurable, and connected to actual business outcomes rather than abstract competencies.

  • When leaders need sharper thinking, clearer priorities, and stronger execution, executive coaching creates faster and deeper change. Pat acts as a strategic advisor — helping leaders anticipate challenges, elevate judgment, and improve how they lead their teams. Unlike generic management training, coaching adapts to real scenarios and accelerates growth through targeted, high-accountability support.

  • Founders operate in environments with fewer buffers and far greater volatility. Pat helps them build the structures, communication patterns, and leadership habits that reduce chaos and increase consistency. Instead of relying on corporate playbooks, he tailors leadership development to the realities of small and midsize business growth — where clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution matter more than titles or hierarchy.
